Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn, who was born August 19 1965, is an American actress. She also works as an actor and producer. She is most famous for her leading role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded an award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson and an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. Following the conclusion of the seventh season the show was cancelled on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her recurring role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) The cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007), and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who worked as an therapist for speech and family as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV, a venture capitalist. She was born in New York City. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian. Sedgwick was of English descent. Sedgwick says she is Jewish and has stated that she goes to Passover seders.
