Maria Elena Bello

 Maria Elena Bello was born April 18 1967. She is an American actor and producer. Permanent Midnight (1998) and Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly (2006), The Cooler (2004), A History of Violence (2006), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008). Grown Ups (2010), Prisoners (2013). Lights Out (2016). Bello has starred on television in roles including the character Dr. Anna Del Amico (1997) and Payback (1999) and Coyote Ugly (2000) and The Cooler (2003) The Cooler (2003), A History of Violence (2005), Michelle McBride (2016) as well as Special Agent Jacqueline Sloane (2021-2021). Bello was born April 18 1967 in Norristown Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of Kathy Bello, a nurse at school and teacher, and Joe Bello, a contractor.Her father is Italian American, with roots in Montella, Italy, and her mother is Polish American.She grew up in a working-class, Catholic family and graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. Her subject was political science at Villanova University. Bello continued to train in acting by participating in several New York theater productions after she finished her studies. Bello was married to Dan McDermott and has a son who is named Jackson. She published a blog in November of 2013 about her similar-sex relationship, Clare Munn, and how it ended. The book she published was titled Whatever...Love Is Loving: Examining the labels we assign to Ourselves (Dey Street Books, April 28, 2015).
